A true family business
Welcome to the Trattnigs

Your host family

Gundula, Lisa and Paul would like to indroduce themselves

Hello! We are delighted that you are visiting our site! And who knows, maybe soon we will meet and greet here in person. We are the Trattnig family and we are hosts from the bottom of our heart as we share our lovely homeland at the lake Millstätter See in Carinthia with our guests. Many of you have been coming here for years and this makes us so happy! We would like to introduce our selves and present our Hotel on these pages.

See you here soon!

Host for 3 generations

In 1956 the parents-in-law of the present hotel manager Gundula laid the foundations for our hotel. It started out as a simple holiday guest house, for a long time only open during the summer months and during the course of time has developed into our 4-Star Hotel. Much has changed since then, but one thing remains: Our hotel is a family business. We are sure that this holds true: cordial hospitality and personal service for our guests are what we care about.

We are enthusiastic about sports and so of course we want to share our Insider tips for hiking, biking and skiing!

Gundula and
son paul

Our hotel manager Gundula welcomes you at the reception. She is passionate about good food and of course, the mountains. As a qualified hiking guide she knows the loveliest tours and has many personal tips for you. When time allows, Gundula is also happy to accompany you in the mountain world of Carinthia.

Our youngest is currently doing his community service in a retirement home and will be starting his studies in Vienna in autumn. In his free time, he still enjoys helping out in the kitchen or in the garden. Paul is also a keen football fan – who dares to challenge him to a match on our football pitch?

Lisa and "The Boss" mounty

Lisa is the third generation of the Trattnig family to be actively involved in the hotel business. Since completing her degree in Digital Transformation Management, she has been firmly integrated into the day-to-day running of the hotel – whether in service, behind the grill or on larger projects. She is mainly responsible for online marketing and the further development and remodelling of the hotel.

Her dog Mounty is our guests’ favourite and is already looking forward to lots of cuddles. In her free time, Lisa loves to spend time on horseback.
