Peaceful Lakeside Winter
A skiing holiday in Carinthia also has a quiet and peaceful side to it. When in winter the landscape around our Millstätter See glitters in grey and is covered with shimmering white ice crystals, then the hectic of everyday life takes a step back. The lakeside promenade becomes a place for romantic winter walks. Magic moments are also the promise of a snow shoe trek on the Weltenberg Mirnock, where ski tour enthusiasts find their dream route. For those who prefer cross-country skiing or those who would like to experience a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride, all these are only 15 minutes away in Bad Kleinkirchheim.
Iceskating in Carinthia
A fun experience for the whole family is a day of ice skating or curling. The frozen Feldsee is only 8 minutes away.
A unique ice experience becomes reality at Lake Weissensee. The 6.5 km² Weissensee is the largest permanently frozen and prepared natural ice surface in Europe. From mid-December to the beginning of March, not only ice sports enthusiasts frolic on the up to 40 cm thick sheet of ice, but also horse-drawn sleighs and winter hikers enjoy the unique scenery.
Giving space to silence. Celebrate life.
Enjoy the winter to the fullest.
